Shower Strike 2012 is HERE!
Beginning on Earth Day this year until May 6th, Well Aware is holding its fourth annual infamous Shower Strike. Volunteers across the globe have vowed not to shower until they have each raised one thousand dollars toward life-saving water wells in rural Kenya. We want YOU to join us! It's not too late to sign up now!
This outrageous fund-raiser, created by Well Aware, is designed to call attention to the necessity of water and alleviate the monumental suffering that has resulted from water deprivation and unsanitary water sources in Africa.
Well Aware's Shower Strike has attracted the attention of local and national media. Hosts from various cities in the U.S., as well as other countries, are participating in the 2012 Shower Strike, and Well Aware hopes to double $77K raised in 2011!
Well Aware is a humanitarian 501(c)3 nonprofit devoted to sustainable and realistic water aid in East Africa. Please check us out online at www.WellAwareWorld.org.
A clean drink of water is a luxury where we need to drill a well, a shower is unheard of. It’s the least we can do to skip ours for a week, so that others can simply survive.
